Made by hand.
Made for you.
Made on the South Carolina Coast.
Custom-fit, italian leather sandals, handcrafted by the hands at Isola Atelier.
The Vela Collection - arriving Spring 2027
ITALIAN CRAFT
Trained in Capri, Italy.
Soles are made in Italy. Fine Italian leathers come from Italy.
Every pair shaped by hand using techniques passed down through generations of Italian artisans.
CUSTOM FIT
Not your size. Your foot.
Each sandal is fitted to you specifically - leather placed to the exact shape of who you are.
MADE HERE
On the South Carolina Coast. At Workshops, at Artisan Fairs, and soon - at a permanent atelier near Kiawah and Seabrook Islands.
The sandal you have made for you today may be the one you are still wearing fifteen years from now. We build for that.
The Vela Collection
Six styles. Each one named. Each one fitted to you.
The Gossamer Wrap * Flat
Less is luminous
Filo means thread in Italian — and these sandals honor that name. Whisper-thin nappa leather laces criss-cross the foot and wind twice around the ankle, landing in a delicate knot. The effect is barely-there and completely intentional.
Available In - Black • Natural Tan • Gold Metallic • Warm White
Ideal for - The beach wedding. The linen dress. The customer who wants the sandal you almost don’t notice — until you do.
The Horsebit Classic * Flat
Structure meets sea.
Some sandals make a quiet entrance. Ancora does not. A sculptural gold horsebit anchors the leather to the foot with the quiet authority of something that knows exactly what it is. Flat, fitted, unforgettable.
Available in - Natural Tan • Classic Black • Navy • Gold Metallic • Terracotta
Ideal for - The Kiawah dock. The Freshfields lunch. The afternoon that becomes an evening.
The Stone Garden * Flat
Worn like jewelry.
Pietra means stone. A gold leather T-strap becomes the setting for a cascading arrangement of semi-precious cabochon stones — tourmaline, turquoise, carnelian, jade — each pair composed differently, each one singular. The stone placement is the signature.
Ideal For
The woman who treats her sandals as accessories, not afterthoughts. The gift that arrives in beautiful packaging.
There is a moment when something shifts from possibility into motion.
Not loudly.
Not dramatically.
But definitively.
For me, that moment happened in February 2026 — after a dream so vivid, so joyful, so unmistakenly clear, that I woke up and said yes.
Yes to Italy. Yes to leather and craft and learning something true with my hands. Yes to the work that was already waiting for me.
This is that work.
Make your own.
In a Sandal-Making Workshop with Isola Atelier, you are measured and fitted, choose your leather and hardware, and leave wearing a pair made by your own hands.
It is not a class. It is an experience.
