Every pair of Isola Atelier sandals is fitted to your foot — not your size.

Each fitting begins with specific measurements — the height of your foot, the placement between the first and second toe, the natural angles that make your foot yours — so that every element of the sandal sits comfortably and correctly on you.

The soles are handmade in Italy — stitched with zero to minimal glue so they last for years, even decades. Fine Italian leather patinas beautifully over time, as do the soles themselves. What is custom is the sandal built upon them: the leather placement, the strap angles, the fit calibrated to the specific geometry of your foot.

There are customers who have worn their handmade leather sandals for fifteen years and cannot imagine replacing them. The leather has shaped itself to their foot. The sole has worn to their particular walk. They have become, over time, the most personal thing in the closet. That is what we are making.

Most pairs are completed same-day, during your workshop or fitting appointment.

No two pairs are identical. That is the point.
